RCMP National Memorial Service

The RCMP Memorial Service is held on the second Sunday in September at the RCMP Academy, “Depot” Division, in Regina. The ceremony begins with a parade at 8:45 a.m. and is followed by a chapel service at 10 a.m. and a short ceremony at the Memorial Wall in the RCMP cemetery.

Several troops of regular members, auxiliary members, cadets and veterans will parade on Sleigh Square in honour of the RCMP members who have died in the line of duty since the first fallen member in 1876.

The RCMP Memorial Service is an annual event and an enduring tradition that started in the mid-1930s when RCMP members came to Sleigh Square to honour their fallen comrades.

If you have a family member who is listed on the Honour Roll and you have either never attended the Memorial or you have recently changed your contact information, please contact “Depot” Division for a formal invitation at 639-625-3201 or

Sadly, a name has to be added to the Cenotaph, Honour Roll and Memorial Wall this year:
