Murdered: Mellissa "Lissa" Chaboyer

Mellissa Chaboyer was a 35-year-old single mother who strived to provide a good life for her son and foster kids. She proudly took in between 20 and 30 foster children in the last 10 years of her life.

Mellissa normally held three to four jobs to provide for her family. Every year from October leading up to Christmas, she would drive a taxi part-time to provide a memorable Christmas for her children.

On the night of November 25th, Mellissa was working a shift driving a taxi in Thompson, Manitoba. Just after midnight on November 26th, it is believed that she was driving with two passengers. At 12:30 am, Mellissa drove into a local mall parking lot and was attacked and stabbed by her passengers. She was left to die on the ground next to her vehicle as the two passengers fled the scene.
