Prince District Police Joint Forces Operation makes drug seizure

On the evening of January 6, 2017, members of the Prince District Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Drug Unit and the Summerside Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence in Summerside. As a result of the search, a 56 year-old male was arrested. Police seized over 500 oxycodone pills, a firearm, a large sum of cash and a small quantity of marijuana.

The man, from Summerside, was released and will be summonsed to Summerside Provincial Court at a later date and will face several charges.

The Prince District JFO Drug Section is comprised of officers from the Kensington Police Service, Summerside Police Service and the Prince District RCMP. The unit is responsible for conducting drug investigations within Prince District, Summerside and Kensington.
