On January 3rd, 2017, Premier Wade MacLauchlan signed a declaration making January "Crime Stoppers" Month on Prince Edward Island.
This declaration by the Premier, who also serves as the Prince Edward Island Minister of Justice and Public Safety, endorses the goals of P.E.I. Crime Stoppers which include raising public awareness of the organization and the importance of its work in all Island communities. Taking the month to focus on work done by Crime Stoppers will help to make our communities safer and continue to improve and foster better places to live learn and do business for all citizens of our province.
PEI Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization encompassing the community, the media and law enforcement agencies established to assist in crime prevention and promotion of safer communities.
