Damaged bridge under repair

The Sussex RCMP continue to seek the public's help in finding whoever is responsible for extensive damage done to an overpass near Sussex in spring 2016.

Police believe a piece of heavy equipment may have collided with the overpass, located on Cherryvale Road in Canaan Forks.

The area is used mostly by logging trucks and excavation equipment.

The damage was reported to police on May 10, 2016, shortly after 8:15 a.m., however, the collision is believed to have occurred around the end of April.

Repairs have since begun to the bridge.
