Man charged with theft and fraud against New Brunswick Police Association

A 38-year-old Hanwell, N.B., man has been charged following an investigation into reports of theft and fraud against the New Brunswick Police Association.

Michael Craig Cook, has been charged with one count of theft over $5,000 and one count of fraud over $5,000. The offences are alleged to have occurred between October 2012 and February 2015, while he was serving as the Treasurer of the N.B. Police Association.

He is scheduled to appear in Fredericton Provincial Court on February 1, 2017, in connection with the charges.
