Two men arrested after RCMP execute search warrant

Two people were arrested in connection with a drug investigation.

The Campbellton RCMP executed a search warrant at 12 Subway Street in Campbellton as the result of complaints related to a business identifying itself as a medical marijuana dispensary.

Police began their investigation on December 30, 2016 after receiving several complaints about the business. Campbellton RCMP executed the search warrant on January 6, 2017, where police officers seized a substantial amount of what is believed to be marijuana, and other edible marijuana products. Cash was also seized during the search.

A 33-year-old man from Dieppe, and a 22-year-old man from Riverview, were arrested at the location and later released. Both men are scheduled to attend Campbellton Provincial Court on June 5, 2017 to answer to drug related charges.

Police continue their investigation.
