Man arrested after police dismantle grow-op

The Southeast District RCMP executed a search warrant on January 6, 2017, at a home on Woolastook Drive in Grand Bay-Westfield, N.B.

During the search, police seized 28 marijuana plants at various stages of growth, hash oil and equipment used to produce hash oil, as well as stolen property. At maturity, that number of plants could have produced up to 14,000 marijuana joints.

A 32-year-old Grand Bay-Westfield man was arrested at the residence. He was later released on a promise to appear in Saint John Provincial Court on April 27, 2017, at 1:30 p.m.

The investigation continues.
