Bay Roberts RCMP investigates fatal motor vehicle collision in Upper Island Cove

On August 31, 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Bay Roberts and Harbour Grace RCMP along with firefighters from Upper Island Cove, and local paramedics, responded to a single-vehicle collision on Cranes Road, in the community of Upper Island Cove.

The driver and lone occupant, a 57-year-old man from Upper Island Cove, suffered serious injuries in the collision. He was transported to Carbonear Hospital and died shortly after arrival.

A RCMP Collision Analyst also attended the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
