Bell Island investigates single-vehicle collision with pedestrian

On November 28, 2019, just before 6:00 p.m., Bell island RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Lower Lance Cover Rd on Bell Island.

The investigation determined a 35-year-old man from Bell Island was walking on the roadway when he was struck by a SUV. He was taken to Dr. Walter Templeman Health Centre on Bell Island and was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Bell Island RCMP reminds pedestrians of the importance of wearing reflective and light coloured clothing to increase visibility at night.

The driver was not found to be in breach of any legislation and charges are not being pursued.
