The Caraquet RCMP is asking for the public's help to identity and locate three suspects in a home invasion in Village-Blanchard, N.B.

On November 5, 2019, at approximately 10:40 p.m., police responded to a residence on Route 11 following a report of a home invasion and robbery. Investigators believe three individuals entered the home and assaulted the occupant with a weapon. No property was taken during the incident. The homeowner was able to leave the home and call police.

Patrols were made in the area, with the assistance of the RCMP's Police Dog Service, but the individuals were not located.

The suspects are described as being between five feet six and five feet eight inches (168 to 173 centimetres) tall. All three were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and masks covering their faces. Two of the three suspects spoke French. All three were seen leaving the area in a small white car, heading north towards Caraquet.

The homeowner was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been released.

The investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information about this home invasion, or who may have seen anyone fitting the description of the suspects in the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the Caraquet RCMP at 506-726-5222 .
