Fort Simpson RCMP seize drug, cash and scale; one man charged

Fort Simpson RCMP seized drugs and Canadian currency, following a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation.

On Saturday, November 9th, 2019, a search warrant was executed at a residence.

During the search, RCMP seized crack cocaine, a digital scale with suspected cocaine residue and approximately $1900 in Canadian currency. RCMP arrested and charged one suspect.

Ismail Hassan Farah, 23, from Edmonton, AB, is charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime Sec 354(1)(a) CC

Charges are pending for two more suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
