The RCMP's Northwest Traffic Services has charged two men with stunting after an RCMP officer in an unmarked police vehicle witnessed them racing on a street in Bible Hill earlier today.
At approximately 1 p.m., the police officer was monitoring traffic when he noticed two vehicles racing on Ryland Avenue. Both vehicles were stopped by the RCMP, and both drivers, a 19-year-old man from Cape Traverse, Prince Edward Island and a 21-year-old man from Nauwigewauk, New Brunswick, were charged for Stunting, which includes street racing.
The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50. Nova Scotia RCMP want to remind the public that agressive driving is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions on our roads. Road Safety is a priority for the RCMP, and drivers are reminded to make it their priority as well.
