Flin Flon RCMP seize weapon, drugs and cash after vehicle stop

On October 7, 2021, at approximately 5:20 pm, an RCMP officer on patrol observed a male driving in the City of Flin Flon. The officer recognized the lone male driver and was aware that he currently had an outstanding warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court.

The officer conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and the male was placed under arrest.

During the arrest the male was searched and found to be in possession of a knife, a quantity of crack cocaine and Canadian currency.

Subsequently the vehicle was searched and officers located and seized a large quantity of Canadian currency, approximately 21 grams of cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia.

Paul McIntryre, 57, of Schist Lake, has been charged with several offences including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Failing to Comply. He was also issued several fines under the Highway Traffic Act. He was remanded into custody.

Flin Flon RCMP continue to investigate.
