On March 16, 2024 Whitehorse RCMP received a report that a break and enter occurred at the Whitehorse Victim Services office. The break-in occurred sometime between the evening of March 15 and the morning of March 16, 2024. The Department of Justice is cooperating with the RCMP to investigate the break-in. It is not clear what information may have been compromised. If victims are concerned about the security/privacy of their information, they can call Victim Services at 667-8500 with any questions.
Police are seeking information from the public. If anyone observed any suspicious activity in the area of Main Street in Whitehorse during the evening of Friday, March 15 to Saturday the 16, 2024, please contact police at 867-667-5555.
